CautionReceived a text from this number with some kind of verification code. I haven't been asked for a verification number for any of my accounts recently so I Googled it and found the number has been reported repeatedly as a scammer

CautionSame as others have reported. I got a text message saying "Your Current verification code is used to access your account. NEVER SHARE it. Your verification code is #######. We will never ask for it." I assume a scam so I blocked the number.

However, earlier in the day I got a text message to confirm a dental appointment scheduled for next week with the same (833) area code. Is it related??
